Walking with Paws N Pooches
Walks are available daily in either morning (pick-up from 10am) or afternoon (pick-up from 1pm) slots.
Dogs are collected in the Paws N Pooches van, which is fully kitted out with crates to keep your loved ones safe and secure, and taken to near by open spaces to run and play. They get at least one hour outside and off the lead (if suitable).
Once happy and tired the dogs are delivered straight back to your own door, towel dried if wet and given a tasty treat. I'll check to make sure they have fresh water and can also give any food or medication if required.
I am happy to take on dogs with behavioural issues such as lead pulling, fear, aggression or recall issues and will work with you and your dog on these issues as I walk them. I am studying canine behaviour and training with thinkdog! to enable me to help you and your pet to the best of my ability. All of my training is done using positive reinforcement so you can rest assured that I will never use force or physical punishment in the name of training. The first step in me working with any dog is to find out what motivates them (toys, treats, off-lead time) so that I can use what they want best to encourage good behaviour out of them.
For me a dog walk isn't just about physical exercise but about mental stimulation and socialisation too. Your dog will be taken to a variety of different locations in your area to see as many different sights, people and new dogs as they can. They will learn to behave in traffic and off the lead in safe, open areas. I will play games with them to encourage them to use their brains as well as their bodies! At Paws N Pooches we aim to return your dogs to you as mentally tired as they are physically.
